Calvin Davis, a native of Lynchburg, Virginia, (where he currently resides) graduated from Hampton University wth a B.A. in English, followed with a Masters from Howard University. In high school, his English teacher introduced him to Shakespeare. Boom! Crash! Bam! In doing so, she exploded an atomic bomb within him. Immediately he knew he wanted to become a writer. And so he wrote, wrote...and rewrote and rewrote...
His literary resume includes three novels: The Event at Fourteenth and U: a Christmas Story, Love in Opposing Colors and his latest work, The Phantom Lady of Paris. The short stories he authored are too numerous to mention. He is represented by Dawn Dowdle of Blue Ridge Literary. http://www.blueridgeagency.com/
He taught high school English for forty years in Baltimore, Maryland, where he was known to leap onto his desk to deliver dialogue from one of Shakespeare's plays.
While on sabbatical, he resided for a year in Paris, the City of Light and the spiritual place of his birth. His days were spent at sidewalk cafes, writing, sipping espressos and absorbing French culture. It was here that the idea for the Phantom Lady was conceived.
